Despite this impressive growth, the sector currently suffers from a lack of a robust regulatory framework. Niti Aayog has proposed the establishment of a central statutory framework specifically for construction and infrastructure engineers, as well as the inclusion of architects and engineers as allied professionals in this initiative.
