The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has banned an individual from the securities markets for five years and imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh for violating regulatory norms. The individual, Mohit Manghnani, has also been prohibited from holding key positions in listed public companies or Sebi-registered intermediaries for five years.
